Reading time is an estimate
Lovely Tools uses an average adult reading speed. Technical material and second-language readers usually need more time.
How are words counted?
Words are separated by whitespace. Hyphenated terms count as one word, while “word—word” without spaces is treated as one token.
What is a good length for a meta description?
Search engines usually display around 150–160 characters. Shorter is fine; the important part is that it describes the page accurately.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The text is counted in the page and never sent to a server. Avoid pasting secrets into any website, including this one.
