Every tool has a boundary. These are the ones worth knowing before you start, so the result is not a surprise.
Protect the file
Once a signature image exists, it can be copied onto other documents. Keep it in a private folder and avoid sending the raw PNG to anyone who does not need it.
Can I sign a PDF with this?
Use the signature maker to create a transparent PNG, then place it with the Sign PDF tool. That adds the image to a page; it still is not a certificate-backed signature.
Why is the background transparent?
Transparency lets the signature sit over a document without a white box. The PNG preserves that transparency in Word, PDF editors, and design tools.
Does a typed signature count as a signature?
For many everyday documents a typed or drawn name is accepted as an intention to sign. For contracts, court filings, or regulated forms, check the legal requirements first.
