Numbers are selectable text
Lovely Tools adds a standard embedded font and draws each number as text. It will display and print cleanly without turning the page into an image.

Use {n} for the page number and {total} for the total. For example, Page {n} of {total}.
Numbers are drawn on every page as new PDF text. Pages with an existing rotation are handled so the number stays upright on screen.
Add a PDF, then set where the numbers should appear.
Your PDF is opened and rebuilt inside this tab. There is no upload endpoint, no waiting in a queue, and no copy stored anywhere. How local processing works.
The short version
No installer, no sign-up, and no second app to open. The work happens in the browser you already have, using the file already on your device.
Open a document and check its page count. The numbering preview uses the actual page size so the placement makes sense.
Pick a position, font size, margin, and format. Start at 1 or match an existing sequence with a different number.
Generate the new PDF. The numbers are drawn as real text, not a flattened image, and the original pages remain intact.
