PDF tools

One PDF, in the order you choose.

Join applications, receipts, scans, or chapters into a single document. Move files into place, merge, and download. Your PDFs stay in the tab.

No upload. No account. Files stay on your device. The processing happens in this browser tab—an unusual arrangement in a category full of upload forms.

Merge and download

Add at least two PDFs to begin.

Your PDF is opened and rebuilt inside this tab. There is no upload endpoint, no waiting in a queue, and no copy stored anywhere. How local processing works.

The short version

How it works.

No installer, no sign-up, and no second app to open. The work happens in the browser you already have, using the file already on your device.

  1. Choose the PDFs

Add two or more PDF files. Lovely Tools reads the local files, confirms which pages can be accessed, and shows the page count.

  2. Put them in order

Move each file up or down. Every page within each file is kept in its original order.

  3. Merge and save

Create the combined PDF and download it. The original files are not changed.

Fine print, without the runaround

Good to know.

Every tool has a boundary. These are the ones worth knowing before you start, so the result is not a surprise.

Encrypted files will not open

Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked in a PDF reader first. Lovely Tools cannot bypass document encryption, and that is deliberate.

Page size can vary

Merging does not force every page onto one paper size. A single PDF can contain portrait, landscape, and mixed-size pages.

Bookmarks are not carried over

The merged file combines the pages cleanly but does not always preserve per-document navigation outlines. Page content is unaffected.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Still stuck? Write to info@lovelytools.site.

Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?

The interface accepts up to 20 files at once, with a 100 MB size limit per file. That is a practical browser memory boundary rather than a paid limit.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

No. The PDF is encrypted, so its pages cannot be read without the password. Remove the password in your reader first, then merge the unlocked copy.

Does merging change the PDF content?

The pages themselves are copied into a new document without being flattened or re-rendered. Text stays selectable and vector graphics stay sharp.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. Merging happens with pdf-lib inside your browser. Your document bytes are never sent to Lovely Tools or any conversion service.
