Your files stay with you.

This page explains what Lovely Tools does and does not collect, how the tools handle your files, and what choices you have over advertising and analytics.

In plain terms: the files you open in the tools are processed in your browser and are not uploaded. Lovely Tools has no accounts and no file storage. Advertising is provided through Google AdSense and follows your consent choices and location. Analytics stays off until you allow it. If you email us, we receive that email.

Who is responsible for your data

Lovely Tools is an independent project. For the purposes of data protection law, the operator of Lovely Tools is the data controller for the limited personal data described here. Questions and requests can be sent to info@lovelytools.site.

This policy applies to the Lovely Tools website and its tools. It does not cover third-party sites linked from guides or advertisements.

Files you process with the tools

The file tools run in your browser. When you choose a file, the browser reads it from your device into the page’s memory. The processing—decoding, resizing, encoding, parsing, merging, rendering—happens in the tab. The result is created on your device and downloaded by you.

  • Your files are not uploaded to Lovely Tools or to a conversion service.
  • We do not receive, see, store, or retain copies of your files.
  • File names and contents are not sent to analytics or advertising services.
  • The working copy in memory is discarded when the tab is closed or reloaded. A downloaded result remains wherever you save it.

You can verify this in your browser’s Network panel while using a tool. The guide to local processing explains how.

Camera, microphone, and browser services

A few tools need more than a file. Their behaviour is listed here rather than hidden in a browser prompt:

  • Scan to PDF uses the camera only after you press “Start camera”. Frames are captured into pages in this tab, and the camera stops when you press stop or leave the page. Frames are not sent to Lovely Tools.
  • Speech to text does not record or store audio. The browser’s speech recognition engine may send audio to the browser vendor for transcription, so do not dictate passwords or confidential material.
  • Text to speech speaks through voices installed on your device. Some browsers may use remote voices supplied by the browser vendor.
  • OCR tools download the recognition engine and English language data on first use. The image or PDF itself stays in the browser.

Camera and microphone permissions are controlled by your browser and can be revoked in its site settings at any time. Declining a permission leaves the rest of the tool unusable only where that input is required.

Information stored on your device

Lovely Tools stores a small amount of preference data in your browser’s local storage. This is not sent to us. It includes your light or dark theme choice and your cookie consent choices. See the cookie policy for the specific names and durations.

There is no account, profile, or sign-in, so there is no server-side record of your use of a tool beyond ordinary web-server requests described below.

Analytics

Lovely Tools uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are useful. Analytics is loaded only if you allow the “Analytics” category in the cookie banner or settings. If you decline, the Google Analytics script is not loaded.

When analytics is enabled, the data collected may include:

  • Pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Browser, device type, operating system, and language.
  • Interaction events such as starting or completing a tool, and high-level settings chosen.
  • Anonymised identifiers and cookie data used by Google Analytics to distinguish sessions.

Lovely Tools enables IP anonymisation where the analytics configuration allows it. We do not send file names, file contents, or any document data. Analytics reports are used in aggregate to improve the tools and the site. Google processes this data as a service provider and may transfer it outside your country under its own safeguards. See Google’s privacy policy for details.

Advertising

Lovely Tools displays advertising through Google AdSense. Depending on your location and consent choices, ads may load by default or after you allow advertising. In regions that require it, Google’s certified consent message collects your advertising consent before ad cookies are used. The tools remain available either way.

When advertising is allowed, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on your choices and location, ads may be personalised based on your interests. Advertising data is handled by Google under its policies; Lovely Tools does not receive your individual advertising profile or combine it with file data.

You can change analytics choices in the and review advertising consent there or in Google’s consent message. You can also manage personalised advertising through Google My Ad Center. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Lovely Tools does not sell personal information for money. Where advertising cookies are treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under applicable law, you can withdraw advertising consent in cookie settings or Google’s consent message; doing so stops that use for future visits.

Hosting and technical logs

The site is served as static files by a hosting provider (Hostinger). Like any web host, the provider processes technical request data—such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time—to deliver the site, keep it available, and protect it from abuse. Those logs may be retained under the provider’s policies. We do not use them to identify individual visitors or to connect a request to a file processed in a browser, because the file is never part of a request.

Emails you send us

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you choose to include. We use it to respond and keep a record of the conversation. Do not send files unless specifically asked; the inbox is not a secure file transfer service. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up, then delete it unless a longer period is legally required.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • Consent for analytics, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Legitimate interests in supporting the site through advertising, keeping it secure, preventing abuse, and responding to messages, balanced against your rights and your cookie settings.
  • Legal obligations where a record must be kept or a request must be handled under applicable law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email info@lovelytools.site with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may ask for enough information to locate the relevant correspondence, but we will not ask for more than necessary.

You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to address the issue first.

International transfers

Lovely Tools itself does not maintain a database of personal data. Where third-party services such as Google Analytics or Google AdSense process data, they may do so in countries other than yours, using the safeguards described in their terms and privacy policies. The hosting provider may process technical data in the regions where it operates.

Children

The tools are intended for general audiences but are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If the site’s data practices change—for example, if a new analytics or advertising service is added—this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes affecting consent will be reflected in the consent settings.
