Straight, overhead shots work best. You can rotate and reorder any page before the PDF is built.

Colour treatment

High contrast darkens text and pushes the paper white. It is a filter, not OCR.

Photos are turned into image pages in this browser; nothing is uploaded. These pages are pictures, not searchable text. Run a finished scan through PDF text & OCR if you need selectable words.

Build the scan

Capture or add at least one page to begin.

The document is composed and exported inside this tab. There is no account requirement, no upload step, and no stored copy. How local processing works.

The short version

How it works.

No installer, no sign-up, and no second app to open. The work happens in the browser you already have, using the file already on your device.

  1. Capture the pages

Start the camera and photograph each page, keeping it flat and evenly lit. You can also add existing photos instead.

  2. Review the pages

Check the order, rotate anything sideways, and remove a bad capture. Choose colour, grayscale, or high-contrast output.

  3. Build the PDF

Lovely Tools assembles the pages into one PDF and downloads it. Check the text is legible before relying on the copy.

Fine print, without the runaround

Good to know.

Every tool has a boundary. These are the ones worth knowing before you start, so the result is not a surprise.

Camera access needs permission

The browser asks before the camera opens, and camera access requires a secure connection. If you prefer not to grant it, add existing photos instead.

A photo scan, not OCR

This tool makes an image-based PDF. Text is not selectable unless you run the PDF text & OCR tool on the result.

Flat and well lit works best

Avoid shadows, glare, and steep angles. The tool does not perform perspective correction magic, so a straight overhead shot gives the cleanest page.

Questions

Asked and answered.

Still stuck? Write to info@lovelytools.site.

Are my scans uploaded?

No. Camera frames and added photos are processed locally. The finished PDF is created in the browser and then downloaded.

Can I scan a document on a laptop without a camera?

Yes. Use the add-photos option and select images you already have. The camera button is most useful on a phone.

Can I make the PDF searchable?

Run the finished PDF through PDF text & OCR. It can recognize scanned pages and produce selectable text, depending on image quality.
